Artist CV

Keryn Hyslop

Bundaberg/Brisbane

Australian mixed media artist whose work is deeply rooted in nature. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences in the Australian landscape, creating vibrant, layered artworks that celebrate the intricate textures and colours found in the natural world.

Utilising a variety of materials- such as canvas, board, paper, textiles, found objects, watercolour and acrylics- I create art that evokes a sense of playfulness and wonder. My creative process includes an element of the intuitive, allowing each artwork to become more than what I planned and reflect the spontaneity inherent in nature itself. My art is also used for licensing, projections, illuminations, textiles, murals etc.

Beyond creating, I am passionate about sharing the joy of art with others. I actively participate in exhibitions, art events, and workshops, and offer classes that explore themes of Australian nature through creative expression. These experiences not only enrich my practice but also foster a sense of community and connection among fellow art enthusiasts.

Through my art, I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the magic in the world around them.
