Mural and art workshops

Mural to enrich the entrance and visitor experience of the Whyalla Westland shopping centre and to showcase the important tourist attraction of the local iconic Cuttlefish of the region. A series of fun art activities were facilitated during the school holidays and community mixed media Cuttlefish art were created and curated onto the colourful sea background. Interpretive signage also complemented the mural in the written form. Individual Cuttlefish motifs were painted direct onto the wall to watch over the community mural! The actual artwork is titled Migration to represent the spectacular annual migration of the cuttlefish each year. Stickers of the artwork were created and provided to each participant as a keepsake of their involvement and to extend the experience. Photo credit Pensinsula Art Studio.
