The Heart of Art

Heading towards the end of my first Semester this art work called ‘The Heart of the Matter, Keryn Hyslop 2024 was the final piece from a mixed media task. This was inspired by palm trees and in particular Archontophoenix spp. bangalow and Alex palms. Creating first a stick sculpture and then drawing it onto a prepared ink background. Then colouring in pastel and charcoal. Palms have a heart as do we, they both need protecting to flourish to survive to be the best expression of themselves they can be.
