The Heart of the Matter

Stick sculpture, inspired by the beautiful palms in my garden. The fronds fall when they are complete, they turn a beautiful range of brown and black tones. The old flower spikes bare, but still beautiful.

Gathering them together pruning and shaping to bring about something new. Unexpected The flowers spikes cradled in the fronds base. tied simply with a few rounds of string, natural cotton, to give it shape and form. It’s beauty is in it’s nature and it’s simplicity.
