Shorebirds on their Journey
This artwork is inspired by my Norwegian ancestry, and it talks to the story of journey of the shorebirds we receive in south east Queensland, Australia. They travel from the other side of the world to escape cold winters where they stay in the warmer climate of Australia until it’s time to go home. They inspire me as they are tiny little lightweight birds and they fly for often thousands of kilometres to reach their goals.
Keryn Hyslop Australian nature art, mixed media, whimsy style. Acrylic, watercolour and paper on canvas in a drop in pine frame. 30cm x 30cm. Handmade paper birds. See notes below.
Our art has handmade paper elements and is part of our mixed media style, such as birds, branches, leaves, flowers, sun, moon and other features. These have discrepancies as part of their nature. Please ensure you are happy with them as there are no refunds or exchnages. We love them as they are and hope you do too. We see them as love of imperfection.
